ooc; for everyone who wishes it was cold out already. mostly fall. feel free to join. the title, again, is a song, an instrumental number from Kingdom Hearts II. go youtube it; it's such a pretty piece.

It was perfect weather for October, in Cas's opinion; it was cold, but not ridiculously so. Leaves had already started to fall, so she could shuffle her feet through them the way she'd always loved doing way back when she was thirteen--maybe younger, she never knew--and there was a breeze, swishing said fallen leaves around her feet and legs. Her hair, partially obscured by a knit ski hat, fluttered around in waist-length strands. Her scarf, a super soft blue number, acted just the same.
Her hands were in the pockets of her coat, a black knee-length trench, buttoned down the middle in two neat rows. What was visible of her jeans showed that either she was very thin (just for the record, she was) or that her pants didn't fit right; they were a little loose, falling neatly over the tops of her shoes.
It was her favorite time of year for reasons she couldn't quite explain; coming up in just three weeks was Halloween, and she'd already been back in school for a while, so it wasn't so jarringly unfamiliar anymore. It was almost enjoyable. Cas couldn't stand having large amounts of free time, so going back to school was a welcome disaster. Plus she got to see her friends again--for some strange reason, once summer came she turned into a recluse, barely leaving her house, save for the five o'clock runs she did every morning, to stay in shape for track.
She looked up at the sky. Clouds were shrouding the sun, and it wasn't too bright out, the way summer clouds seemed to make things. It was darker than normal, and she liked that. Maybe it would rain, she thought dimly. October rain was always the best to play in and run around in, the way she was prone to doing. Rain was another favorite of hers, right along with cold weather and walking around in leaves.
Around her, she could faintly hear conversations of people twenty feet or more away, mumbling about how cold it was, and why couldn't the lovely summer weather come back? She frowned. Hot weather was annoying in more ways than one; she didn't deal very well with heat. Mix heat with no sleep and not a lot of food, and you're more than likely to pass out or feel faint. She frowned more deeply--it wasn't a fun feeling.(1)
The fountain ran dutifully, as always, although the people who owned the park had splurged and bought a heater for the water; at the moment, it was lukewarm, and small kids were seen sitting near it, throwing in coins and wishing. She gave a small, strange smile in their direction. People who didn't know her would've called it nostalgic.
ooc; my god, that was /long/. I just kept rambling, i sorry. xD pleaseplease come joinnn.
(1)that actually does happen to some people. namely me. if you're going somewhere hot, get a good night's sleep and eat something first. feels absolutely terrible. ><
