ooc: Okay, well, this isnt exactly a cafe setting, but I wasnt sure where else to put it. Soooo. Introducingggg...Endul O:
bic:
"It looks like rain, Endul. I dont think you should go out today."
"But the weather man said there was going to be no rain. Im pretty sure he knows better than you." Endul pointed out, correcting her roommate. In back of her head, she knew there was going to be a little drizzle, but she didnt except what was to come.
Endul quickly slid into a pair of shoes and threw an warm olive colored zip up hoodie on. One last look out the window and grabbing the camera, she fled out the door and down the stairs.
Now, exactly, why did Endul want to go outside so bad? There must have been a good explanation for her temporary insanity, right? If she knew her roommate was right about her warnings, why would she want to tread in the freezing rain? Well, I did mention a camera, didn’t I?
Every day Endul went for a walk. Not for the normal exercising purposes (trust me, she didn’t need to get any slimmer), but to take pictures. Yes, a photographer. The weather could never stop her from what she loved. And was a little drizzle going to stop Endul? No way.
Once Endul pulled open the apartment building’s door, she glanced up towards the sky. The gray clouds hovered over the tops of the buildings, ready to burst at any moment. So, she moved quickly down the street, hoping not to catch the rain. But seeing the first crack of lightning, her enthusiasm sunk down. The smile on her face disappeared, startled by the thundering bellow.
Below her breath came a curse. The rain followed after the thunder, making people around the streets scurry like little mice into a close by building. There was no way Endul was going to get her camera wet, so she quickly dashed for a little coffee shop.
The atmosphere in the dimly lit café turned from peaceful to frantic in a matter of seconds. People fled in, soaking wet and holding newspapers over there heads. Luckily, Endul was one of the first one in, so she got a seat on the window sill, peering outside.
Any one would expect Endul to be a kid. She pulled of a 16 year old look pretty well. That’s because she stood at a very un-impressing 5 foot 1, and weighed a little below the normal weight for a 20 year old. Yes, she was boney, and she was frail, but she was damn proud of it.
Another attribute that always made her look younger was her eyes. They were a dusty green color, big and innocent just like any other kid’s. Long eyelashes, a few freckles under her eyes, and a little smile, Endul definitely didn’t look her age.
What person was smiling at the moment of this thunder storm?
The storm didn’t seem to let up, and Endul wanted to get home. She was cold, wet, and worried about her camera. She didn’t exactly want to hear her roommate’s ranting about how she was right, Endul half-heartedly dug into her jean pocket and pulled out her cell phone.
After being told to wait outside the building, Endul hung up the phone and lifted the hood over her short black hair, which was clinging to her face at the moment, and walked outside. The two aisha stalks ontop of her head were usually bouncy and curled into a little swirl, but now they lay flat on her hair, soaked and not as bouncy as normal.
Digging her hands into her sweat shirt’s pockets, she noticed the little drizzle, but all the traffic. Cars and trucks and taxis congested the city’s streets. Finally, taking a minute or so to spot her taxi, she ran through the parked cars straight to the car door. Fingers outstretched, Endul took a hold of the handle.
