"None taken," she replied lightly, before laughing. "When you get into deep thought like that, your forehead goes all wonky. Makes you look... dare I say it, /old/."
ooc; gah, the shortness!

"It so does NOT go wonky." he said, his expression only deepening, raising a hand to feel his own forehead. The gravel path they followed was now running alongside the forest, the absence of trees making the moon remarkably bright. They were now a lot closer to the playground, empty swings and slides looking quite strange in the light. Dark and twisted shadows contrasting the cheeriness and warmth normally found in the places where children dwell.

"Okay, fine," she amended, "all creased. Maybe wonky was the wrong word." She examined their surroundings. "Oh, a playground!" she said happily, momentarily sounding much younger than she was. She turned to her companion, a pleading look in her eyes. "Can we please, please, please go to the swings, just for a little while? You don't have to stay with me or anything, just..." She looked down at her feet. "I'm sorry. I'm just particularly fond of swings."
ooc; yeah, excerpt from my life. xD I adore swings.

Hand still tracing his now relaxed forehead, he spotted the playground as well. "Ummm..." reluctance clear in his voice. "I guess so... I mean..." Sure, he looked seventeen but he was fairly sure the last time he was on swings he was like nineteen. And drunk. Alice dropping her gaze to admit her like of swings brought a smile to his face though. "Yeah, okay sure." With that he grabbed her arm, a move he was unsure of yet hoped would go over, and headed over to the sand filled swing pit.
ooc| I used to like swings. And even tire swings, I have one at my dads. But they started giving me headaches so... =( Just roller coasters to me. I can handle that.

"Thankyou!" She put her hand over his arm without even seeming to realize it and they walked over to the swings, where she sat herself down on a swing, motioning for him to sit beside her. She began pumping her legs and she was soon airborne, a smile on her face. "So," she said conversationally, "what're your interests?"
ooc; yay for swings. xD I love rollercoasters. like insanely a lot. my friends think i'm insane.

Zuri sat himself down on the swing, letting his fingers glide over the cold metal chains that held the seat up. "Mmmm..." he said, thinking as he dragged his feet in the sand, preferring not to go too high. "Well work. Despite how much I complain I do sort of find it interesting. I like... sports betting, boxing mostly and... numbers?" He laughed at the last one, how lame it sounded being said out loud.

"So you're the kind of person who loves twisting numbers around, finding patterns out of nothing, stuff like that?" She kind of knew what he was talking about--she used to have a friend who had a sort of skill with numbers in general. He was ridiculously good at finding stuff out of nowhere.
ooc; i'm the same way. i love just finding number problems. xD I'm such a nerdddd.

"Yeah exactly. I'm suprised I didn't go in to math or whatever. I bet I could work for the CIA." He picked up the sweed of his swinging, now gaining some height. "What about you?"
ooc|| I hate thoughs. I think I'm numerically dsylexic. Math is my worst subject.

"Well, like I said before, I like to act. I sing, I dance, I write... Pretty typical. Oh, and I like to play the drums." She laughed a little. "Middle of night is my favorite time of day, my favorite color's gold, you already know about my music interests, and the one thing I find most attractive in someone is their personality. Plus being taller than me." Although at 5'1", almost everyone was taller than her. She laughed. Her answers made her sound like she was rattling off a Myspace survey or something.
ooc; sometimes i like maths, sometimes i want to murder it. depends on my mood. apparently i'm good at it though? though i've never seen how. xD
